2019 Chamber Choice Awards
Annually, the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce hosts a night of community awards, “The Chamber Gala & Choice Awards Dinner.” These awards are presented to the worthy recipients at the Chamber’s Annual Choice Awards & Gala. This special event will be held on Thursday, April 4th at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum. Individual tickets will be $95.00 per person. Nominations for each of these awards will be accepted at the Chamber office through 5:00pm on Friday, March 22, 2019. For your convenience, copies of the applications are attached to this packet. Additionally, a one-page summary of the nominee’s achievements should accompany each application. Completed applications (including the one-page summary) can be mailed or hand delivered to the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce; ATTN: Chamber Choice Awards; 150 E. 2019 Chamber Choice Awards Crystal Apple Education Nomination Form
The three Crystal Apple Education Awards are presented in the following categories:
a) Principal/Administrator;
b) Experienced Teacher who has been in the profession more than 3 years
c) Emerging Teacher to recognize those who have been in the profession less than 3 years.

a.) Fire Fighter of the Year (Nominated by LCFD Fire Chief)
b.) Police Officer of the Year (Nominated by LCPD Chief)
c.) Deputy of the Year (Nominated by Dona Ana County Sheriff)
2019 Citizen of the Year Award
2019 Chamber Choice Awards Citizen of the Year Nomination Form
Presented to an individual in the community who exemplifies “going the extra mile” through personal, profession and business contributions. These outstanding nominees will also be considered and selected based on their volunteer service, character, citizenship and civic leadership. Criterion also includes personal & business accomplishments & achievements including family, faith-based affiliations and school environments.

2019 Non-Profit of the Year Award
Presented to a Non-Profit that has shown exemplary support to the Las Cruces and Dona Ana County area through contributions and support of the community while adhering to the non-profit’s mission statement.
2019 Soar Team Member
This award is bestowed to an individual who reflects the spirit of service through exemplary and outstanding impact to the community. This individual will be honored for their consistent, active volunteer involvement and service and who has served the public with significant contribution of time, commitment and effort for the betterment of the community.
2019 Emerging Business of the Year Award
Presented to a company that has been in business for 1-3 years. Nominees have demonstrated exceptional growth through creation of jobs, revenue growth, innovative products or services. They provide exemplary customer service, volunteers in the Las Cruces community and demonstrate economic support of the local & regional business community.
2019 Small Business of the Year Award (1-25 employee category)
Presented to an active business located or operating in the Las Cruces & Dona Ana County area that has been in business for at least 5 years. Nominees have demonstrated exceptional growth through creation of jobs, revenue growth, innovative products or services. They provide exemplary customer service, volunteers in the Las Cruces community and demonstrate economic support of the local & regional business community.
2019 Large Business of the Year Award (26+ employee category)
Presented to an active business located or operating in the Las Cruces & Dona Ana County area and has been in business for at least 5 years. This business has demonstrated exceptional growth through creation of jobs, revenue growth, innovative products or services. They provide exemplary customer service, volunteers in the Las Cruces community and demonstrates economic support of the local & regional business community.
