Fourteen chosen out of 172 to study science, technology, engineering, mathematics

By Laura Almaraz Missile Ranger Staff Writer Fourteen interns will be working on a variety of science, technology, engineering and mathematics projects at White Sands Missile Range this summer. The STEM interns were welcomed at an orientation meeting followed by a luncheon at the Frontier Club June 2. The group was selected by TRAC out of 172 applicants. A change in balance can lead to job loss in the area

It seems that every nonprofit community organization is out soliciting for funds right now. Many business owners are asked to contribute at a time when their own businesses are struggling. By the time this year comes to a close, we should see more than 1,000 new jobs generated in our area – most of which pay well over the state’s current minimum wage of $7.50 per hour.
