Effective July 1, 2015, the City of Las Cruces Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) rate will increase from 7.9375% to 8.3125%. The Town of Mesilla’s Gross Receipts Tax (GRT) rate will increase from 7.8125% to 8.1875%. This increase is due to Dona Ana County increasing its portion of the Gross Receipts Tax imposed within the Town of Mesilla by 3/8 of a percent. This was passed by Dona Ana County Commission on March 24, 2015. FIRE DETACHMENTS CONDUCT DRILLS AT HOLLOMAN HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. - Members of the 702nd, 582nd, 306th and 907th Fire Detachments from the state of Washington will be here Wednesday, June 24, to Sunday, June 28, for a Mission Readiness Exercise. The training will be held at the Holloman Fire Emergency Services training area and will consist of structural drills, search and rescue and aircraft rescue firefighting. The four firefighting detachments will be training here to prepare for an upcoming deployment.
