The Las Cruces shopping experience can satisfy those "shop-a-holic" impulses or just meet the needs of the average consumer looking for the basics. We have everything from small boutique specialty shops to the major chains in a mall environment.

Mesilla Valley Mall has the largest selection of stores in southern New Mexico, including Barnes & Noble, Sears, JC Penney and Dillards. There are more than 80 retailers housed here.

There are sporting goods and hunter supply stores, home building and hardware stores like Home Depot and Lowe's, discount department stores like Ross and Marshall's, and discount super centers like Kmart, Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. Old Mesilla and its plaza, as well as the Mercado de Mesilla, offer many specialty items from art to jewelry to clothing, furniture, and decorative items for the home.

The Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday morning in downtown Las Cruces. Fresh, locally grown produce, arts and crafts, clothing, baked goods and more are available.

Dining

While Las Cruces does have the best and most flavorful chile and Mexican food on the planet, don't be concerned that you won't be able to get a traditional burger or pizza (although why you wouldn't want chile on those as well is a wonder).

We run the gamut from Asian to steaks and seafood and everything in between. Traditional American fare, barbecue, Italian, and world cuisine from the Mediterranean and Middle East to India and the Pacific Rim. Coffee (yes, we have Starbucks!), bakeries, desserts, soups, salads - fast food, buffet style, or elegant dining are all on the menu.
