Hundreds of parents, students, staff and community volunteers will be part of the Comcast Cares Day event when they paint, clean and beautify Jornada Elementary School, 3400 Elks Drive on Saturday, April 25. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the campus cleanup will continue throughout the morning, said Brigitte Zigelhofer, LCPS community outreach liaison. Community volunteers are needed and can give any amount of time to the beautification effort, she said.

Day is a Crown Council member—an alliance of leading-edge dental teams committed to charitable work. March through June, Day and her staff will professionally whiten teeth to raise money for Jardin de los Niños. Day is working via the Smiles for Life Charity to bring whiter smiles to members of the community, and to help homeless and near homeless children and their families.
