While the Bean has been around for a while, if you have been by lately you will have noticed some changes. A lot of work both inside and out has been going on since January. Fresh coats of paint, repairs to the patio, new floor in the bathroom and a new heater installed just in time for the cooler weather in Las Cruces.
There have been some changes to the menu as well, a few items added to the list of delicious baked goods as well as improvements and changes to the menu items.
Since January the Bean has been under new ownership and with the help of her family and staff, Kaleigh Jones has been working to share her vision and passion with her customers and community.
“It has always been my dream to run my own kitchen and have an endless supply of coffee. When the opportunity came around to buy the Bean, the timing seemed perfect. I had been out of culinary school for a few years and working in fine dining in Phoenix was getting old.
The Bean is someplace I can and have been making my own with the goal of sharing its charm. My focus is on the community and building lasting and meaningful relationships.
Although this has been quite the learning experience, I am forever grateful to those people who have been by my side throughout this adventure. I am blessed with a family that wants nothing but the best for me, and I would not be here without them
The Bean is our home. Our goal is to make it your home away from home.
Keep your eye out for improvement, we're working really hard!”
Some things have not changed at the Bean since Kaleigh took over, the Bean still has its one-of-a-kind charm, great coffee, a group of loyal regulars, the occasional evening musical event featuring a variety of local artists and a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The Bean is located at 2011 Ave. De Mesilla and is open daily from 7:00am to 1:00pm.
