Gross Reciepts Tax increases effective July 1

On Thursday, July 1, 2010, Doña Ana County's gross receipts tax (GRT) will rise by 1/8th of 1 percent, or an additional 12.5 cents on each $100 spent.

The increase will raise the GRT rate in Las Cruces from 7.4375 percent to 7.5625 percent and in Mesilla from 7.6875 percent to 7.8125 percent.
