Financial Education Curricula Trainings

Mar 23rd, 2015

We are now taking registrations for the March 23 and 24 financial education curricula trainings that cover the FDIC Money Smart and Federal Reserve’s Building Wealth curricula.

You have the choice to attend one of the three sessions. You do not need to attend any more than one session; they are all the same. The one exception is that the training in Spanish on March 24 will have only a brief introduction to the FDIC Money Smart curricula because we do not have a Spanish speaking instructor. Even if you are teaching in Spanish during Money Smart Week, you can attend one of the English versions of the training.

At these trainings, you will receive the product and an introduction on how to use it. These sessions will allow you an introduction to both curricula so you can teach during Money Smart Week and beyond.

Your choice of dates are:

Monday, March 23 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (English)

Tuesday, March 24 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (English) – come at 8:30 for breakfast and the MSW Proclamation by the Board of Commissioners. Class will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday, March 24 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Spanish)

All are at Doña Ana County Administration Offices, 845 N. Motel Blvd., Room 113, Las Cruces.

To register for a class, RSVP to this email address (gvincent@fdic.gov) as soon as possible and designate which class you would like to attend. Feel free to forward this invitation to any others that you think could benefit from an introduction to these free curricula that can be used year-round.

These training classes are very popular and do not come available very often so we want as many people to enjoy them as possible.
