Community support

Mike Beckett, Chair of the Board Greater Las Cruces Chamber of CommerceIt seems that every nonprofit community organization is out soliciting for funds right now.

Many business owners are asked to contribute at a time when their own businesses are struggling. Local businesses contribute the lion’s share of funding for most of these organizations that in turn provide services many in our community depend on at some point.

When local business does well, there is a reciprocal effect where money is not only reinvested locally, but the ability to donate to organizations and charities is increased.

We at the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce are committed to being the leading voice in businessoriented public policy advocacy, to ensure that not only our approximately 900 members benefit from our services, but also our community benefits.

This is the perfect time to join the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce, to voice your support for our community by being a part of something that represents and supports local business. In turn, this will grow our economy and improve our way of life in this region.

I am only one voice as a small businessman, but by joining the Chamber, I can, with the cooperation of other members, be part of what direction policies that will impact not only my business, but possibly many other businesses, take. The only way to ensure a positive and informed decision process is to become involved. Join with your colleagues and affect changes that have a positive long-term impact in our community.
