This year is one of growth in the area of programs the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce is offering the business community.
The Chamber strives to be aware as new needs arise and relevant with solutions that make an impact on business in southern New Mexico. With that in mind, it announced the launch of Las Cruces Young Professionals.
Business done the way of the past does not always match up with the reality of business today. It’s more electronic, and more global and as a result, it’s more competitive than ever before. The goal is to allow emerging entrepreneurs and professionals to have access to the resources, support and experience of an organization like the Chamber in new, progressive and relevant ways to their demographic. Las Cruces Young Professionals is open to young professionals and entrepreneurs between the ages of 21 to 40 who are focused on building long-term business relationships, professional development and supporting the community in which we work and live.
With a series of regular programs and events, members of the group will network, share resources, collaborate on issues and be exposed to mentoring from proven leaders. The group will also participate in community projects.
A monthly after-hours mixer called First Fridays will provide the opportunity for networking in a relaxed and social setting.
Chairing the group are two dynamic young and successful professionals, George Vescovo of Vescovo Toyota and Marci Dickerson of The Dickerson Group.
There are a growing number of successful young professionals in our community and the Chamber is glad to be able to support them – they are our leaders of tomorrow and we want them to succeed.
