Casa de Peregrinos Emergency Food Program is celebrating it's newest program with a ribbon cutting and open house on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 4:30 P.M. at their flagship pantry at 999 W. Amador Avenue Suite F in the Community of Hope campus.

The Food Rescue Program is their latest endeavor and it's success has benefited many needy families in Las Cruces. With their partners, Walmart, Target, Mountain View Market, Los Altos Ranch Market, Nature's Grocers and White Sands Missile Range Commissary and additional 247,000 pounds of food were distributed to the families CdP serves. This year alone 83,000 pounds have been rescued and distributed.

Casa de Peregrinos is also celebrating a grant awarded to them by their partner Walmart to purchase a refrigerated truck. The truck has been acquired from another partner, Roadrunner Food Bank will be put into full operation on April 1, 2015.

Casa de Peregrinos will host an open house directly after the ribbon cutting with food and drinks catered by another one of their partners Luchador Food Truck.
