Bravo Mic Communications LLC was founded by Ned Bennett, Sandra Zane, Mike McKay, KC Counts and Michael Smith Jan. 7, 2005, with the company’s first station, KVLC 101 Gold.
A second station, KXPZ The Rocket was added in 2006 and by October of the same year, they moved to a new, state-of-the-art broadcast facility. Two additional stations, KMVR FM Magic 105 and KOBE AM The B, were purchased in 2007.
In 2011, the company opened D2 Designs, a subsidiary to Bravo Mic Communications, specializing in screen printing, signage, banners and promotional products.
“There are many options when it comes to advertising here in southern New Mexico,” said General Manager and Bravo Mic Communications Executive Vice President Michael Smith. “It is important to set realistic expectations of one’s advertising campaign. Radio is a cost effective method that can be used daily.”
Depending on your needs, Bravo Mic has a format and station that will reach your target demographic.
Successful businesses invest in advertising to keep their company relevant and at the top of your mind, Smith said.
“The most challenging aspect of my job is convincing clients that advertising should be treated as an investment, rather than an expense. I show clients that advertising is as important as payroll, utilities and other business costs,” he said.
Bravo Mic’s websites – mymagic105.com, 101gold.com, b1450.com and rocket995. com – are all branded and are a form of digital media. It’s the creative convergence of digital arts, science, technology and business for human expression, communication, social interaction and education. They serve as a community resource to learn more about events, news and sports, as well as a portal to your company by having your linked logo on their page.
In the United States, the digital media audience is at an all-time high of more than 103 million monthly listeners and growing. Digital media will expand your advertising campaign to an even broader audience – a high volume of web surfers, and potential clients and customers.
Smith said the best part of the job is being able to support Las Cruces and its businesses.
“Bravo Mic is really proud that we can be part of the community. We are able to serve and reach many members and provide information that will benefi t them,” he said.
“There is a real sense of satisfaction seeing how you have been able to make a positive impact on your neighbors. We are proud of our community initiatives such as Coats for Kids, Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive and other charity sponsorships.”
