New discount prescription drug card available

The Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce now offers free discount pre­scription drug cards to all chamber mem­bers, members’ employees, contractors, clients, friends and families. The program provides discounts of up to 75 percent on brand and generic medi­cations. The program has no membership restrictions, no income requirements, no age limitations and no applications to fill out. All chamber members are eligible to receive savings. No personal information is required to obtain a discount card and all prescriptions processed through the program are completely confidential. Today Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo space plane fired its rocket engines for the first time during a flight earlier this morning.  This historic  test flight from California's Mojave Air and Spaceport bring Virgin Galactic one giant step closer to beginning flights here in New Mexico!  The vehicle was carried aloft by the mothership  WhiteKnightTwo, and then released in midair at an altitude of about 46,000 feet (14,000 meters). At that point, SpaceShipTwo test fired its rocket engine, designed to propel the craft of the rest of the way up to space.

History was honored Sunday, March 17, during the annual Bataan Memorial Death March. A group of Conquistadores and FirstLight Federal Credit Union employees met before the sun came up and ventured over to White Sands Missile Range to volunteer their time and show support to the local individuals and the many who have traveled across the county to be part of this event.
