I cannot believe this is already the August edition of The Bottom Line. It must be true, as my lovely wife has already accumulated the much-needed school supplies for the kids, and has plans to take them to go pick out their backpacks for the upcoming school year. I can’t believe it’s August already – as we watch the fields full of gorgeous chile peppers bloom and smell the sweet aroma that arises over our valley. August is the kick-off month for farmers to reap the benefits of a long spring and summer. These last months have been filled with hard work in the fields, fertilizing and watering to see a bountiful harvest – hopefully. I am married to a local chile farmer and producer.
